Saprena Lyons is employed by Fluor Idaho as the Idaho Completion Project (ICP) Core Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) and Behavior Based (BBS) program lead and is an elected member of Voluntary Protection Program’s Region X Board of Directors.
Background includes field work as a Cause Analyst and Trained Investigator with years of detailed work as a Price Anderson (PAAA) compliance coordinator, performance of worker safety and health screenings, validation assessments, lessons learned reviews; trending analysis/matrixes, facilitator of fact findings; years of ongoing service as an emergency response member (ERO) with the emergency management organization, and the Medical Response TEAM (MRT).
Extensive work in Behavior Based Safety (BBS), including planning and implementation of safety awareness campaigns, analyzing trends for identified at-risk behaviors and providing guidance for feedback strategies, years of experience in facility inspections for the identification and mitigation of hazards, facilitating resolution for safety concerns, and work on operational readiness assessments with the Department of Energy (DOE).
Outreach experiences include, years of providing safety awareness initiatives for local schools and assistance with community outreach safety activities.
Involvement in numerous safety and health workshop presentations at the VPP regional and national levels enhances my excitement for safety and health promotions and facilitating safety and health initiatives.
Her passion for the overall wellbeing, health and safety of people makes for a perfect opportunity to continue making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Fun time away from work is spent in various ways including, biking, traveling, pampering her 2 fur babies (Chihuahuas), relaxing and providing health services and health awareness training as a Registered Nurse (RN) for a local home health agency.
