Tyson is the Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Subject Matter Expert for the Idaho National Laboratory. Tyson is a former Department of Energy Security Police Officer and Special Response Team (SRT) member. Tyson is a Certified Firearms Instructor, Basic Tactical Entry Instructor, Advanced Firearms Instructor, and Advanced Weapons System Instructor. Tyson assists organizations to understand the methodology to eliminate unwanted outcomes triggered by human error through the principles of Human Performance Improvement (HPI). Tyson has assisted many organizations including Los Alamos National Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Hanford Site, Nevada National Security Site, and BWXT Lynchburg VA. Tyson has provided HPI Presentations/Keynote/ Facilitation for the Voluntary Protection Program Participant’s Association (VPPPA) National and Regional Conferences, Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG), Washington Group International Conference, Babcock & Wilcox HPI Conferences. Tyson has conducted over 100 HPI event investigations including Delta Barrier Striking subcontractor, Research and Development Chemical Shipments, Bucket Trucks, Vehicle Collisions, Classified information breaches, Radiation & Contamination, and Electrical Substation Arc Flash. Tyson has a BS from the University of Idaho, College of Engineering – Industrial Technology and a Certificate in Human Performance Technologies.
